Laurel District
The garden clubs in The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. are divided up into seven (7) districts, Laurel District encompasses the northern most part of the state. See Laurel District Map for a listing of all counties in Laurel District.

Lou Ann Bleakley, Laurel District Director (2007-2009)

Lou Ann is a member and past president of Blairsville Garden Club. She served Blairsville Garden Club as vice president, treasurer, and Youth Activities Chairman. She has served on the GCG Board of Directors for the past four years as Assistant Chair M2S, the NGC Project and Laurel District Board eight years, most recently as Co-Director. She is a State Life Member, Master Gardener and Chairman of the Community Council, Georgia Mountain Research and Education Center (GMRE Center), and is a Volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), Juvenile Court, Enotah Judicial Circuit for seventeen years.
